Hello everyone! I know its been a minute since I have made a post but what better way to get back while I am on my solo vacation. Yesterday I woke up at 2:30 am to make my flight over. I was understandably exhausted. After a little chaos taking transit over to my airbnb (YOU GUYS I DID IT! Took the air train AND the Long Island rail) I went and got some chinese take out. I already feel like I am checking off all the boxes of a New Yorker. I got pork dumplings, chow mien, and garlicky broccoli while people watching from my window.
This morning I got up at 6:30am and got to see the sunrise. Then I walked about 20 minutes to Villager, a coffee shop that Heart has an account with. I told the barista that I worked for Heart and had to check out the location. They were kind enough not to charge me for an espresso shot AND iced coffee. I then spent the next hour writing in my journal and then drawing. I made my first comic about my arrival and all the feels. Planning on making a collection of all the drawings I make on this trip as a separate post for next time :)
Okay going to take a nap now before meeting up with my close friend Aubrey at the botanical garden!!
Will most likely post a few more times this trip so see you soooon!
